Resilience Family Fest

Presented by St. Johns County Public Library System and St. Augustine Historical Society and Flagler College and Governor's House Library and Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center at Solomon Calhoun Community Center

Bring the whole family to the Solomon Calhoun Center (1300 Duval Street) for Resilience Family Fest, a multi-organizational celebration of St. Augustine's Black history and culture.

Resilience Family Fest will feature musical performances, food trucks, historical reenactments, pop-up exhibits, arts and crafts activities, oral history interview sessions, and much more. All are welcome at this FREE community event, which emerged from "Resilience: Black Heritage in St. Augustine," a collaborative project between cultural and academic institutions that began in 2021 as a celebration of the history and culture of Black St. Augustinians. For more information, please visit the Resilience project's website.

Performers will include UF Afro Pop Ensemble, Melvin Smith Jazz Ensemble, and St. Augustine High School Jazz Band.

The "Resilience Family Fest" partners include Flagler College Proctor Library, Flagler College Honors Program, Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine and Friends of the Bookmobile, Governor's House Cultural Center & Museum, Lincolnville Museum & Cultural Center, St. Augustine Historical Society, St. Johns County Public Library System, and Samuel Proctor Oral History Program.
