Tale Tellers will host an Open Mic inviting members of the community to share stories about their memorable teachers who changed their life. A panel of judges will evaluate the stories and award prizes to the winners. Stories must be under seven minutes, contain non offensive content, be entertaining, and lack political or religious overtones.
FEATURING: Any person wishing to share a memorable story.
Tale Tellers of St. Augustine is a storytelling guild practicing and encouraging the art of storytelling. The group is celebrating its 30th Anniversary in 2023. TTSA is the only story organization to be consistently invited to the renowned Florida Folk Festival in White Springs, FL, where its members have performed yearly since 1994. The tellers travel and have performed at numerous locations statewide.
The Tale Tellers of St. Augustine, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization of cultural and educational orientation was founded to promote the art and perpetuate the tradition of storytelling. FREE off-street parking for the Waterworks is accessed beside the St. Johns County Main Library at 1960 N. Ponce de Leon Boulevard, St. Augustine. There is no access to Waterworks parking from San Marco Avenue.
