Learn the basics of bookbinding and take home a sketchbook of your own creation!
In this 3-hour workshop, students will learn how to create a case-bound sketchbook step-by-step. They will hand-sew pages together, make a hardcover case and bind the pages inside. Students will leave with their very own sketchbook and the foundational knowledge to explore bookbinding further on their own.
ABOUT HEATHER
Heather Callahan is a bookbinder and painter who received a BFA degree from Flagler College. She started her sketchbook bindery in 2019 and travels to different art markets around Jacksonville and St. Augustine. You can see more of her work on Instagram as @rootcove.bindery
