Flagler College’s Dr. J. Michael Butler, Kenan Distinguished Professor of History and Director of the African American Studies Program, will deliver a talk entitled “June 18, 1964: The Arrest of 16 Rabbis in St. Augustine and Why it Matters” at The Waterworks on April 24th at 4 PM.

This event is part of the Florida Talks program, a partnership between Florida Humanities and the St. Augustine Jewish Historical Society, and sponsored in part by Florida Humanities with funds from the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Any views, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed in this program do not necessarily represent those of Florida Humanities or the aforementioned entities.

This event is free and open to the public at no charge. All are welcome. No advance reservations are necessary! The Waterworks is being made available through the generosity of the St. Johns Cultural Council and the City of St. Augustine.

The Waterworks shares a parking lot with the Main Branch Library. Enter from US1 and follow the brick path for additional parking: The Waterworks is the brick building on the right.
