Window Workshop at The Waterworks | ST. AUGUSTINE HISTORY FESTIVAL

Window Workshop at The Waterworks | ST. AUGUSTINE HISTORY FESTIVAL

Presented by University of Florida Historic St. Augustine at The Waterworks

If you’ve ever been intimidated by the prospect of restoring your historic windows you’re not alone. Doug Romaine, Historic Preservation Advisor for Austin Historical, will tell you how historic wood windows can last 100+ years, unlike most replacement windows, provide you with energy efficiency facts and options, maintenance and restoration techniques, and answer questions about your old windows. Julie Courtney, Chief Preservation Officer for the City of St. Augustine will introduce the workshop.

This workshop will be held at The Waterworks on Saturday, May 13th from 9:30 AM to 12 PM.

The Waterworks shares a parking lot with the Main Branch Library. There is no entry from San Marco Avenue. Enter the Main Library from US1, follow the brick path to additional parking in the back: The Waterworks is the brick building on the right.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The St. Augustine History Festival was created and conceived by UFHSA (University of Florida Historic St. Augustine, Inc.) for the purpose of generating excitement about the history of America’s oldest city. Every era of St. Augustine’s long and storied past is showcased through special events and historic venues – from its founding in 1565 to the most advanced technology available in 2023 to research and study every year in between.

American history began here, and no one tells the story better!
