Lost Art Gallery First Friday Artwalk

Lost Art Gallery First Friday Artwalk

Presented by Lost Art Gallery at Lost Art Gallery

Lost Art Gallery is pleased to highlight the creative artwork of two artists during the November 4th First Friday Art Walk. Artists John Gamache, with his amazingly naturalistic paintings, and Robert Stewart, with his fantastically thought provoking photography, will both be on-hand at Lost Art Gallery to discuss their work.

John Gamache’s paintings reveal skilled and joyful studies of natural light that correspond with the art of trompe l’oeil.  After early art training in Massachusetts, John spent many years working as a freelance illustrator and advertising designer.  John Gamache has been able to incorporate his early classical training into his fine art.  His still-life arrangements present light as it would naturally fall upon objects. The artist’s obsessions with the theatrical effects of afternoon light are revealed in his landscape paintings. An exciting and exclusive showing of the artist’s Art Box constructions, will be on display.

Robert  Stewart has creatively juxtaposed images in a surrealistic expression to provoke thought about current issues. Stewart’s artistic interests developed through his fine art and sculpture studies at Wayne State University and later was piqued through his job photographing evidence for the Chicago Police Department. From that point on,  Robert Stewart launched a successful career as a commercial and advertising photographer.

Please join us at  Lost Art Gallery on Friday, November 4th from 5PM-9PM for a special opportunity to meet with two of St. Augustine’s newest, and very talented, fine artists.
