After writing three well-received mystery novels set in his hometown of Chicago, Michael Wiley decided it was time to set his sights on his current place of residence, Jacksonville Florida. And what he found there won’t make him popular with the Chamber of Commerce. Wiley discusses his new suspense-thriller, BLUE AVENUE, at the Ponte Vedra Library’s Book Talk Café program.
Blue Avenue introduces homicide detective Daniel Turner and his troubled friend BB, in the first of what has been called an atmospheric crime noir series set in Northeast Florida. The story opens with businessman William Byrd summoned to identify the trussed-up body of a woman he recognizes as a girl he spent a passionate summer with 25 years before. Determined to find out what happened to the woman he once loved, Byrd must revisit his own troubled past.
The author will have copies of his book available for sale, and light refreshments will be served.
