Downton Abbey: Behind the Green Baize Doors

Downton Abbey: Behind the Green Baize Doors

Presented by Lightner Museum at Unknown

Author and Speaker Jessica Fellowes will talk about life as a “downstairs” member of the Downton family and how it relates to the Lightner Museum’s very own history of staff at the time of the Alcazar Hotel at the turn of the 20th century. This lecture will be held from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Flagler College’s “Flagler Room”, what was formerly the Women’s Grand Parlor of the Ponce de Leon Hotel.

This distinguished lecture series is part of a program companion series to Lightner Museum’s exhibition: Dressing Downton: Changing Fashions for Changing Times™, a thirteen-week display of 36 authentic Edwardian Era costumes and accessories from PBS’s most popular television drama in history, Dressing Downton™, which will be elegantly displayed in the Museum’s Grand Ballroom Gallery.

Proceeds from the events benefit the Lightner Museum. The Lightner Museum is a non-profit cultural institution sustained by the generous support of individuals, businesses, and sponsors.
