Dr. Simon Shiao and his UNF violin students will present an evening of timeless classics on the next Dr. Gerson Yessin Music Series concert.

Many of the favorite violin showpieces from Vivaldi to Saint-Saens and Rachmaninoff will be performed. Dr. Shiao is an Associate Professor of violin at UNF where he also directs the university orchestra. From 2005-2007, Dr. Shiao held the title of Gerson Yessin Distinguished Professor of Music at the University of North Florida. A versatile performer, he has the distinction of having performed at Carnegie Hall in three different capacities: as a recitalist, and with both string quartet and orchestra. He will be performing with his students.
