Roxanne Horvath

Artist, architect and City of St. Augustine Vice-Mayor Roxanne Horvath will be the featured artist at Butterfield Garage Art Gallery during the month of January. An opening reception will be held January 2 at the gallery from 5 until 9 p.m. during St. Augustine’s First Friday Art Walk.

Horvath’s original and evocative work is informed not only by her background in architecture but also by her study of photography at the university level and of enamel work at two international crafts schools, Penland School of Arts and Haystack.

Also deeply influenced by independent studies in myth and symbolism, this eclectic exhibition will include works in mixed media, fabric sculpture, and enamel and wood sculpture.

Horvath’s work has been shown in art galleries and museums throughout northeast Florida.

The exhibition will continue through February 3 at Butterfield Garage Art Gallery, 137 King Street, St. Augustine. The gallery is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
