Women’s History Month Kick-off: Saint Augustine Speaks

Women’s History Month Kick-off: Saint Augustine Speaks

Presented by Ancient City Poets at Unknown

A poetry reading to kick-off Women’s History Month (March) will be held on Sunday February 22 from 3:00 to 5 PM at City Coffee Company, located at 1280 N Ponce De Leon Blvd (near the Village Inn). Women's History Month traces its beginnings back to the first International Women's Day in 1911. March is Woman’s History Month, a time when the St. Johns County arts community recognize the countless contributions that woman have made to literature, spoken word, and fine arts. All are invited to share a poem about “Women Who Inspire”, or just soak in the Saint Augustine poetry scene. The reading will be held “renga style” with no emcee or sign-up sheet and will end when all presenters have had an opportunity to share. For more info find the group on Facebook, or www.bodor.org or call Chris at (904) 501.0043.
