A PBS documentary is being filmed in which nine interviewees (all played by Weaver) relate their tragically effected lives as a result of gun violence, presenting both sides of the gun debate.
Playwright/Actor Weaver's fourth drama in his "The Redemption Series," so wonderfully received last Sept. and Dec. will be presented at Temple Bet Yam. In this volatile presentation Weaver portrays nine people whose lives have been drastically effected by shootings: a policeman who shot the mass murderer of 20 school children, a Doctor who was a first responder to a shooting in Charleston SC where nine people in a Bible study were cut down by a racist who wanted to start a Race War, a father whose wife was shot and killed by their toddler, etc. All of the shooting incidents are based on actual shootings. Both sides of the "gun debate" are represented and the stunning ending has brought standing ovations to the first two presentations. In the two Act, two hour drama, Weaver's wife, Nanette, portrays a TV impresario who is making a documentary for PBS. "The Shooter" is a work of fiction that is all too true. Questions: 904-687-8779.
