Saint Augustine, FL, March 24, 2017: The public is invited to the Lightner Museum for a volunteer recruitment open house on April 19, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the museum’s front lobby. The museum is filling volunteer positions in anticipation of Dressing Downton: Changing Fashion for Changing Times™. The exquisite exhibition of costumes from the popular Downton Abbey® television series is coming to the Lightner Museum this fall.

“Due to the anticipated popularity of an exhibition like this, we are seeking to double our volunteer base before the Dressing Downton™ exhibition arrives this October,” said Lightner Museum Volunteer Coordinator Toni Franklin.

Volunteers play a vital role to the museum’s day-to-day operations. Volunteer positions include greeters, docents, tour guides, museum store assistants, special program and events assistants, and behind the scenes clerical assistance. A number of internship positions are also available.

The museum hosts will provide light refreshments and entertainment.
