The Lightner Museum welcomes gardening duo extraordinaires, “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants”, for an afternoon’s demonstration of unique floral arrangements and specially-crafted table landscapes.
Join us for an illuminating presentation on floral arranging created by Garden Club of St. Augustine members, Cathy Snyder and Marilyn Smith. Snyder and Smith are passionate about flowers. They have joined forces to travel the area, demonstrating creative and unique uses of flowers, fruits, and vegetables for elegant home and entertaining displays.
The event will focus primarily on the decorative aesthetics from the late 19th to early 20th centuries that evoke the lifestyle of the English country manor.
Cost for this event is $30 per person and tickets can be purchased by visiting www.lightnermuseum.org/traveling-plants. Light refreshments will be served by the Garden Club of St. Augustine. Bring your ticket to the museum’s front desk anytime before the event on Sunday, July 23rd and enjoy complimentary admission to the museum.
“The Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants event is an excellent compliment to the museum’s upcoming Dressing Downton™ exhibition beginning this October,” said Elizabeth Graham, Lightner Museum Educator. Tickets for the exhibition may be purchased by visiting www.lightnermuseum.org/dressing-downton.
Proceeds from this event benefit the Lightner Museum. The Lightner Museum is a non-profit cultural institution sustained by the generous support of individuals, businesses, and sponsors. Donations are appreciated.
