Colonial Children in La Florida: Story Time and Crafts

Colonial Children in La Florida: Story Time and Crafts

Presented by Florida Living History at Fort Mose Historic State Park

The Fort Mose experience comes alive for children as a resident of Fort Mose tells them stories of what it was like to be a child growing up in 1738 at Fort Mose and in St. Augustine. As part of Florida Living History, Inc.’s (FLH’s) 2015 “St. Augustine’s 450th Anniversary” commemorations and in conjunction with National Hispanic Heritage Month, FLH’s volunteers - in partnership with Fort Mose Historic State Park and the Fort Mose Historical Society - will also help young visitors participate in period crafts or drill along with the soldiers and militiamen of Spanish Florida.
