first friday art walk

at AMIRO ART + DESIGN

Amiro Art + Design is pleased to be introducing four new artists to the gallery for April, May and June. Opening on First Friday Art Walk are two photographers, a water colorist and a clay sculptor.
Anna Tomczak from Lake Helen, Fl. creates large format Polaroid transfers of found object assemblages and botanicals. Known for teaching workshops abroad, Tomczaks' images are romantic, nostalgic and fraught with symbolism.
Exhibiting for the first time in the United States, Croatian film photographer Ksenija Spanec  will show photographs taken with  both analog and pinhole cameras. Her "il giardino"
series as well as her dreamlike landscapes are  shot in lush black and white.
A member of the both the Florida and Jacksonville Watercolor Society, award winning St. Augustine resident Martin Gould brings paintings of  local and European scenes. Teacher and Sculptor, Donna Jensen hand builds elegant clay figures of Raku fired Ballerinas. In their metallic patina the sculptures are an ode to the joy of movement and dance.Local silversmith Gaby Gould and glass lamp-worker Trasea Womack will continue to show their work in Amiro Art + Design with the new artists.St. Augustine Distillery will offer samples of Spring Spritzer for April Art Walk.
