First Coast Opera plans to have fun with Halloween weekend in this concert of ghostly encounters and beautiful tunes.  The program will feature music from witches, gypsies, “mad” scenes, and a séance, as well as many of the most iconic and beautiful ensembles from opera.  According to FCO Artistic Director Curtis Tucker, the program is not intended to frighten, but rather to inspire and uplift.  “Many of classical music’s most memorable melodies come from opera, especially in ensembles for two, three, four or more singers,” says Tucker.  “We’re going to highlight many of them in this program, and those melodies, or ‘earworms,’ just may haunt audience members until Halloween!”
