Special Art Exhibit
at the Villa Zorayda Museum
Saturday, August 26th, 2017 - Sunday, October 29th, 2017
Steve Anderson is unique among the city’s artists in the fact that he is visually-impaired and is constantly presented with an obstacle-filled creative path. Anderson was diagnosed with the genetic, degenerative eye disease retinitis pigmentosa and glaucoma in late 2008. The prognosis left him heartbroken, but he soon found new purpose and created a unique style that has never been seen before. At this time, Anderson has less than 10% of his sight and he is still creating one-of-a-kind paintings. His paintings blend photo-realism with bright, vivid, saturated color in a modern, impressionist palette. Visit the Villa Zorayda Museum and enjoy original artwork of St. Augustine’s architectural heritage by Steve Anderson along with the Museum's permanent collection.
