Rabbis’ Civil Rights Letter from St. Augustine Jail to be read in public, June 18th

 

The public reading of the letter written by 17 Jewish leaders swept up in the largest mass arrest of Rabbis in U.S. history, “Why We Went to St. Augustine” will take place at 12 noon, Thursday, June 18, 2015, the 51st anniversary of their arrest and incarceration.  The letter will be read across the street from the site of the arrest at what is now the Hilton Garden Inn, Bayfront, 32 Avenida Menendez, St. Augustine, Florida 32084.  This event is open to the public.  All are welcome.
