The Art Studio's featured artist for the month of June is an award-winning landscape artist.  She took up oil painting in Wisconsin back in 1980 when her husband presented her with a set of oil paints. She enrolled in an oil class in her small town in Wisconsin and went on to study for many years at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts. Jill moved to Florida in 1993 and continued taking classes, studying with Gene Barber, Joe Taylor, and Ron Dunbar. She has won numerous awards in juried shows and has participated in Plein Air Paint Outs in both St. Augustine and Jacksonville, Florida. She is a long time member of both the St. Augustine Art Association and Plein Air Florida. Jill donated her award-winning sculpture entitled, “Read,” to the Florida School For The Deaf and Blind where it can be seen on display in the library.      A reception at The Art Studio of St. Augustine Beach is planned during the First Friday Artwalk, June 5th, from 5:00pm-9:00pm. Please plan to visit The Art Studio and see Jill's beautiful work!

The Art Studio is available to rent for classes or as meeting space. We currently offer a variety of classes and children's art classes will be offered this summer by Stacey Barden.  Membership is offered at just $20.00/year!
