Author Darlyn Finch Kuhn tells how to turn life experiences into fiction at the January 13 meeting of the FWA Ponte Vedra Writers at the Ponte Vedra Library.
Many people these days are busy writing their memoirs. Author Darlyn Finch Kuhn believes those life experiences provide the perfect backdrop for compelling fiction. She’ll discuss the process at the next meeting of the Ponte Vedra Writers, Saturday, January 13, 10:30 a.m. at the Ponte Vedra Library.
The title of her talk describes how easy it can be: “Change the Names and Make Stuff Up.” Darlyn says, “You never know how great your life stories can be until you free yourself to exaggerate.”
Darlyn Finch Kuhn is a prolific poet, short-story writer, and novelist who edits the Scribbles literary e-newsletter and produces book trailer videos. Her debut novel, Sewing Holes, won First Place in the published novella category of the Florida Writers Association’s 2015 Royal Palm Literary Awards.
The Ponte Vedra Writers chapter is one of over 50 writers groups affiliated with the Florida Writers Association, a non-profit membership organization with nearly 1,500 members. Visit www.floridawriters.net for more information about the organization. The meeting is free and open to the public.
