Brown Bag Lunch Program: Dressing Downton in the Era of the Lusitania (A St. Johns Reads Event)

Presented by Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine at Unknown

Join Friends as we welcome Barry Myers, curator of the Lightner Museum, to celebrate the annual program, St. Johns Reads. Myers will talk about the Lightner’s successful recent exhibition, Dressing Downton, Changing Fashion for Changing Times. He will discuss the costume history of the period surrounding World War I and some of his family’s personal reminiscences of being aboard the Lusitania.

St. Johns County Public Library System is pleased to present Dead Wake: The Last Crossing of the Lusitania by Erik Larson for this year’s St. Johns Reads One Book, One Community Program. Join them throughout February for programs related to this fascinating book.

The Wednesday Brown Bag Lunch Program is free and open to the public. Doors open at 11:00 a.m. and the program will begin at 11:30. Patrons are welcome to bring their lunch. Light refreshments will be provided by Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine. For additional information, please call the Main Library at the number listed.
