The St. Augustine Amphitheatre, in partnership with Jax Live, The Foundation and X106.5 Jacksonville’s Alternative, proudly announces the return of indie rock band Modest Mouse to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Saturday, April 21, 2018!
Modest Mouse formed in Issaquah, Washington and has become, over the past two decades, the indie rock golden standard: One of the few bands capable of achieving massive popularity without sacrificing their longtime fans.
Modest Mouse’s latest album, Strangers to Ourselves (Epic), debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200, and at #1 on the Rock, Alternative, Vinyl, and Internet charts the week it was released. Also, the band earned a career-high debut on the UK Official Albums chart.
Strangers to Ourselves has earned accolades in Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, Time Magazine, NME, USA Today, and more. Modest Mouse were also the first band to perform for the launch of The Late Late Show with James Corden, when they performed “Be Brave.” The band also performed the single “Lampshades on Fire” on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, played two sold-out shows at Webster Hall, and performed other new songs on CBS This Morning.
