Free Exhibit “Art in Bloom” at Lightner Museum

The Garden Club of St. Augustine will host “Art in Bloom”, a floral design presentation inspired by Lightner Museum fine art pieces during St. Augustine’s First Friday Art Walk held from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. on October 2, 2015. This event is free and open to the public.

 Imaginative floral artistry pairs with world-class art in the Lightner Museum’s Grand Ballroom Gallery for this first-time event.  18 unique floral designs will highlight the talents of the members of the Garden Club of St. Augustine.  Many of the artists will be present to speak about their creations placed near the museum pieces that inspired them.

 Attend this free event and enjoy the social setting of the museum after dark.  Listen to musician Alex Roach play the Lightner Museum’s Grand Chickering piano during St. Augustine’s First Friday Art Walk, an event held every month in St. Augustine from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

 The floral creations will remain on display for the remainder of the weekend and can be viewed with general admission to the museum.  St. Johns County residents always enjoy free admission to the museum with proper identification.
