Plum Gallery at 10 Aviles St in downtown St. Augustine will be revealing their newest assemblage of great artists soon. They will feature a mix of media, styles and artists. These include Sara Pedigo who is a Florida based artist. Pedigo grew up in the American South. She is enthralled by light’s incredible power to reveal beautiful moments present in everyday experiences. Pedigo is currently an Associate Professor at Flagler College, her undergraduate alma mater and her popularity continues to grow.

James Quine is a man of many talents. Many here know him as a superb musician. At Plum it’s his photography that will be on view. He has an established career photographing cultural, archeological and historical subject matter. He has been photographically recording images of Cuba for sixteen years. These photos become particularly relevant now due to St. Augustines past and now due to the opening of Cuba after fifty years.

Mary Williamson was born in Hartford, Connecticut and lives and works in St. Augustine, Fl.  Of her work she says “Drawing is the central focus of how I choose to make art and Florida’s landscapes with all its lush tropical plants, abundant sunshine, diverse wildlife and dramatic weather changes is my muse.”.

Spontaneity and fluidity come to mind when describing Mary Lou Gibson's abstract acrylic paintings. Intuitive in approach, fluid in style and expansive in nature these recent paintings may seem apparently simple. But as one meditates on them as many layers of meaning become clearer as there are layers of paint.
