APEX Theatre Studio presents “Spring Arts Showcase”

Presented by St. Johns County Cultural Events Division at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall

The APEX Theatre Studio, in partnership with the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, will present its first annual Spring  Arts Showcase on Saturday, May 5th, at 4:00 p.m. The show features young artists from the Northeast Florida area in a variety of performances which highlight programs in acting, singing, musical theatre, dance, and film acting techniques.

"We have experienced a remarkable amount of growth in the past year at the studio," remarked Ian Mairs, managing director of APEX Theatre Studio. "In addition to our annual spring musical, we wanted to highlight the wonderful work going on in all of our classes."

The evening will feature a dance medley from the Musical Theatre dance styles class and will include passages from ChicagoNewsiesHairsprayKinky Boots and The Greatest Show. The Improvisation classes will present two short one-act comedies: Homeschooled and Check, Please. "Our first class of Film Acting students will present a series of short monologues on camera," added APEX Theatre Studio Associate Director, Raines Carr.

For young artists between the ages of 8 and 14, the APEX Theatre Studio Inc. (501c3) is the only training program in Northeast Florida that provides a challenging and enriching training program specifically created for the intermediate to advanced level theatre student through challenging interactions with an expert faculty, a range of programming and a commitment to excellence.
