Janine, a passionate violinist, possesses the rare ability to take her listeners on a heartfelt journey.  Marianne's latin roots add flavor to her gorgeous voice and guitar accompaniment. The duo has a diverse repertoire of musical genres, including european gypsy, boleros and ballads, jazz, bossa nova, classical, rock, blues, fiddle and pop. Maja Gitana has performed at the Florida Folk Festival, Gamble Rogers, Riverside Festival in Ormond Beach, Saint Augustine Arts Festival, Riverside Arts Market in Jacksonville Fl., Farm to Family Full Moon Festival in High Springs Fl., Villa ConRoy in Orlando, Fl, Mudville Room in Jacksonville, Fl, Environmental Fair at Marineland Fl., North Florida Folk Festival, Lake County Folk Festival and the International Workboat Show in New Orleans LA.
