Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida (BGCNF) is part of a nationwide affiliation of local autonomous organizations that work to help young people develop the qualities they need to gain skills, experience positive peer influence, and improve their academic success.

Our mission is to inspire and enable young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

We opened our first location in April 1966 and for over 50 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida have been at the forefront of youth development, working with young people from disadvantaged economic, social, and family circumstances. Today, we serve over 2,700 youth at 25 sites throughout Duval and St. Johns counties through strategically placed Clubs. Every weekday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during Summer Academy), we offer access to a broad range of programs in five core areas:

(1) Character & Leadership Development
(2) Education & Career Development
(3) Health & Life Skills
(4) The Arts
(5) Sports, Fitness, and Recreation

On a typical day, members have free time followed by an intense homework session, Power Hour. Then, members break into small group activities like basketball, arts and crafts, or one of our “SMART Moves” education and prevention programs.
