The Drunken Horse Saint Augustine is nestled in a walled courtyard in the heart of the historic district at 56 Charlotte Street. With both interior and exterior seating available, they offer dinner nightly, plus brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 3 PM.

The French-inspired menu begins with charcuterie boards and hors d’oeuvres like escargot and foie gras. Menu items such as pan-seared sea bass, Croque Madame/Monsieur, Boeuf Bourguignon, and Mushroom Risotto will have you chomping at the bit to sample all of the mouth-watering options.

The intriguing name has a history all its own. Owner, Azman Dayaki was accompanying his father on a long journey via horse and wagon. As a snowstorm delayed them from returning to their home on the Turkish border, they found a stable to shelter them overnight. To prevent the horse from freezing, they gave him a little nip. Everyone returned home safely and the experience inspired the name of their first restaurant in New York City, The Drunken Horse NYC.
