Tale Tellers of St. Augustine, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation in Florida with a federal 501(c) (3) status. It is a 30-member collective of professional storytellers and storytelling enthusiasts founded in January 1993 that devotes itself to the advocacy of storytelling as an art form and an entertainment medium. The organization primarily develops projects and programs that enables and educates its membership, provide cultural and educational enrichment to the St. Augustine area, and benefit the needy and disadvantaged of the community. Programs within the organization include performances, educational workshops, and storytelling instruction and mentorship. The Tale Tellers of St. Augustine dedicates itself to expand public awareness of storytelling and endeavors to make significant contributions to the larger storytelling community of Florida and beyond.
