Local food/drink pros participating in the St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival 
 

The St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival takes place May 4-8, 2022 at World Golf Hall of Fame and the World Golf Village Renaissance Resort and will feature celebrity guest chefs, celebrity winemakers/proprietors, local chefs, artisans, and local craft spirits/beers.

Chef Brian Whittington // Preserved Restaurant, 102 Bridge Street

Chef Brian Whittington doesn’t just serve up Southern hospitality at the acclaimed Preserved restaurant, he also focuses on sustainability, local sourcing, and a zero-tolerance for waste. At Preserved, he introduces French techniques to elevate dishes while maintaining the comfort and approachability of classic Southern food.

Saturday, May 7, 2022 6 PM

Location: Preserved Restaurant, 102 Bridge Street

Description: Executive Chef Brian Whittington will prepare a 4-course dinner with wine pairings for each course. A very special winery guest, Amalie Robert will be participating in this very limited opportunity – only 50 seats for this exceptional dinner!

At an early age, Tyrone’s Cuban mother and Jamaican father introduced him to all sorts of unique flavors that unbeknownst to them, planted a seed that would later develop into a culinary career.

In his current positions as Private Executive Chef & Co-Owner of Heart & Soulfood Truck with his wife Lateefa, they put new twists on classics and bring in elements to create unique and unexpected dishes in southern, Latin, and Caribbean comfort food.

Tyrone has also been featured in the St. Augustine Record newspaper, The Northeast Edible Magazine, News Jax 4 and was awarded the “Annual Tourism Impact Award” of 2021.

Finish with a guided tasting in the newly renovated, Oak Stave Tasting Room. Learn the art of tasting bourbon and taste through four select bourbon offerings with St Augustine Distillery brand ambassador and certified bourbon steward, Clark “The Bourbon Baron” Gilmore.
