Las Posados Del Viejo San Agustin / The Posados of Old St. Augustine

Florida Living History, Inc.’s (FLH’s) volunteers will present this annual holiday heritage Event, set in the year 1580, from 7PM to 9PM along St. George Street, in historic downtown St. Augustine, FL.  Las Posadas – a 400-year-old colonial Hispanic Christmas tradition – will be a night-time, torch-lit procession through the Oldest City for children of all ages, re-enacting Mary and Joseph’s search for lodgings (“posadas” is the Spanish word for “lodgings”) in Bethlehem on the first Christmas Eve.

FLH’s traditional Posadas Christmas procession will begin at St. Augustine’s City Gates, on Orange St., and march south down the length of St. George Street, ending with a traditional Spanish holiday performance by FLH’s Theater with a Mission group.
