The Old Dark House

If you\’ve ever wondered where all of the cliches used in spooky house films originated from, come join us for our Halloween party featuring \”The Old Dark House\”. The film, produced in 1932, stars Boris Karloff, Melvyn Douglas, Charles Laughton, Raymond Massey and Gloria Stuart. There\’s a storm, an old creepy house with an even creepier butler, unintended house guests and an old Maria Ouspenskaya look alike. The film was remastered in 2017 and is in English. It was made with serious scary intent but I\’ll be surprised if there aren\’t a lot of unintended laughs along the way.
Costumes encouraged but not required. Donations graciously and gratefully accepted.
