Juneteenth Presentation of "The Witness" by Lee Weaver

A dramatic one-person play by Lee Weaver will be held in the historic church of Trinity Parish on the square on Thursday, June 17th. This presentation is being held in recognition of Juneteenth and its impact on St. Augustine. It is part of a summer-long lecture series offered to mark the 200th anniversary of the church’s first service in October 1821.

Doors open at 6:30 PM. Musicians Stephan the Cello Man and Frog will perform their mesmerizing brand of instrumental music as a prelude to the play from 6:30 to 7:00 PM.

This presentation is free and open to the public. The church of Trinity Parish is located at 215 St. George Street in downtown Historic St. Augustine on the corner of King Street and St. George Street. The location of the church is 50 feet away from the Andrew Young footsteps monument.
