APEX Theatre Studio presents "Shake, Rattle and Roll: A 50's Style Bash"

Apex Theatre Studio presents “Shake, Rattle and Roll: A 50’s Style Bash” and fundraiser featuring fabulous 50’s dinner fare from St. Augustine favorite, Chef Stephen DiMare (of The Hyppo), a silent auction, ballroom dance performances by guest artists and APEX board members and faculty, and dancing for all with DJ Marlon Sulph returning for his second year.

“Last year’s 80’s themed dance was a big hit with our Ponte Vedra residents. We were amazed at the turnout,” remarked Ian Mairs, managing director of Apex Theatre Studio. “We plan on tackling a different decade every summer and the fabulous music of the 50’s is a natural choice. Not to mention the cheeseburgers, tater tots and milk shakes compliments of food wizard, Stephen DiMare, which are a part of a Florida summer for anyone,” Mairs added.

Cocktails begin at 6:30 p.m. with a fabulous 50’s diner meal starting at 7 p.m. The dance exhibition presented by the Apex staff, board members and guest artists will commence at 7:30 p.m. and will highlight ballroom style dances from the era. The dance floor opens to all at 8:30 p.m. and guests can plan to cut a rug until 11:30 p.m.  Tickets are $75.00 which includes dinner, the show and dancing. A limited number of dance only tickets will be available for $40.00.

For young artists between the ages of 8-14, Apex Theatre Studio is the only training program in Northeast Florida which provides a challenging and enriching training program specifically for the intermediate to advanced level theatre student through challenging interactions with an expert faculty, a range of programming and a commitment to excellence.
