In addition to the multimedia presentation, the large-scale manuscript will be on display for “close up” viewing.
The Saint John’s Bible is the first handwritten illuminated Bible of its scale in over 500 years. Created under the guidance of Donald Jackson, scribe to the Queen of England, the 21st Century Bible depicts the harmony between faith and reason through artistic renderings of DNA, molecules, deep space, biological life forms and prehistoric cave paintings.
The original seven-volume manuscript is housed on the campus of Saint John’s University in Minnesota, The Saint John’s Bible Heritage Program is an international initiative that brings the beauty of sacred art to communities around the world.
