Artistry of the  Saint John's Bible–Lecture

The St. Augustine Art Association presents a free lecture on the artistry of the acclaimed Saint John’s Bible.

Speaker Jim Triggs, Executive Director of The Saint John’s Bible Heritage Program, will explore the ways in which medieval artistic tools and materials used in creating the richly illustrated Bible celebrate modern science. In addition to the multimedia presentation, the large-scale manuscript will be on display for “close up” viewing.
 
The Saint John’s Bible is the first handwritten illuminated Bible of its scale in over 500 years. Created under the guidance of Donald Jackson, scribe to the Queen of England, the 21st Century
