This workshop is for absolute beginners or intermediates learning how to mix colors not mud! Learning how to mute the colors (change the color’s intensity), darken them naturally with a complement color and getting great gray tones that are harmonious in the painting. Also using this information to create small studies to refer to when painting larger paintings. Students will use a 5 step process with a limited palette to create paintings with harmony and unity. Focusing on drawing, value, color temperature, and mark making with the brush and palette knife to create a painting in two classes.This class will start with color theory.
