The Lost Order is another action-packed Cotton Malone thriller mixing little-known historical fact with a healthy dose of speculative fiction, and pits Malone against two factions of a clandestine organization from the Civil War era. The Knights of the Golden Circle was the largest and most dangerous secret organization in American history. It amassed millions in stolen gold and silver, supposedly buried in hidden caches across the United States.

Aside from discussing The Lost Order, Berry will share details of his next Cotton Malone thriller, The Bishop’s Pawn, due out in April 2018. In this timelier novel, Malone returns to his first case as a former Justice Department lawyer, investigating the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Book Talk Café is presented by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Branch Library, and is free and open to the public. The author will sign copies of his books at the conclusion of his talk.
