Charlie Cobb at St. Paul AME

The LMCC and St. Paul AME are proud to present Civil Rights activist, author, and former journalist, Charles Cobb, who will speak during the morning worship service at St. Paul AME Church on Sunday, June 16 at 10:45 AM

Cobb was a trainer with the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), the organization that worked with students nationwide to prepare for lunch counter sit-in demonstrations. This is part of a month-long program to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the local movement and the signing of the Civil Rights Act.

There will be a reception following the morning worship service with a brief presentation on the kick-off of the 100th anniversary of the Excelsior High School.
