This six-week workshop series starting March 2, 1:30 - 4 PM will take students step-by-step on how to use colored pencils to bring out details and characteristics of the face. Each week, students will practice rendering individual facial features, then applying the new skill to complete a portrait. Students are also given a review of basic color theory. Repeat students may use a reference photo of their own. It must be a full-face view (not 3/4 view) enlarged to at least 8X10 and in clear focus using natural lighting.

-Drawing board or other support (heavy form board)
-Ruler

-Poster tack or museum putty

About Liz Monaco
She has been an active member and instructor with Flagler County Art League (FCAL) since 2003. Over the last 10 years, she has gained recognition as a multiple award-winning color pencil artist and instructor. As a graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia, she continued her art education with the Philadelphia College of Art and the Moore College of Art.
