All Skill Levels
This class is available to students of all skill levels with at least a basic understanding of color and an amount of drawing ability.  It is suitable for artists of any level who want to expand their knowledge of painting with soft pastels (not oil pastel). The class will concentrate on the different methods of using soft pastels, the different papers and manufacturers of pastels on the market today. Each day there will be a brief demo and a recommended subject for all students to paint.  Instruction will be offered as needed.  We will focus on the different styles and history of pastels in art. Some references will be offered but students are asked to bring several photos from home that the student has taken themselves, no photos taken from websites – no calendars, magazine or other sources.
