Building a healthier community takes more than episodic, clinical care. That’s why our new health village at Nocatee was designed to create a sense of connectedness through digital innovation, wellness support, and arts programming.
Dirty Dozen Brass Band will perform at an outdoor concert at the Flagler Health+ Village Pavilion in the Nocatee Community on February 13. The concert is the inaugural event co-presented by Flagler Health+, St. Johns County Government Connection, and The Amp St. Augustine as part of their cultural collaboration.
Celebrating over 40 years since their founding in 1977, New Orleans-based Dirty Dozen Brass Band has taken the traditional foundation of brass band music and incorporated it into a blend of genres including Bebop Jazz, Funk, and R&B/Soul. This unique sound, described by the band as a “musical gumbo,” has allowed the Dirty Dozen to tour across five continents and more than 30 countries, record 12 studio albums and collaborate with a range of artists from Modest Mouse to Widespread Panic to Norah Jones. Forty-plus years later, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band is a world-famous music machine whose name is synonymous with genre-bending romps and high-octane performances.
The Dirty Dozen Brass Band members consist of Roger Lewis (Baritone Sax/Vocals), Kevin Harris (Tenor Sax/Vocals), Gregory Davis (Trumpet/Vocals), Kirk Joseph (Sousaphone), TJ Norris (Trombone/Vocals), Julian Addison (Drums), and Takeshi Shimmura (Guitar).
The Dirty Dozen Brass Band outdoor concert event will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Saturday, February 13 at the Flagler Health+ Village Pavilion at Nocatee, located at 351 Town Plaza Avenue, Ponte Vedra, Florida. The concert is free and open to the public with all ages welcome. Chairs and blankets will be permitted.
