The Dr. Gerson Yessin Music Series returns to the Ponte Vedra Library on Tuesday, January 23 at 6:30 p.m. with a return visit by renowned percussionist Dr. Charlotte Mabry. Fellow percussionist Greg Hersey, a UNF graduate with a Masters degree
The concert is titled "Music with a Beat," and features the former Gerson Yessin Professor and a Distinguished Professor of Music at the University of North Florida, where she taught for many years. Mabry was a principal percussionist with the Jax Symphony for more than 20 years. Hersey was Mabry’s student and became a friend and occasional musical partner.
Like all of the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Branch Library's programs, this concert is free and open to the public. The doors will open at 6:00 p.m.
