Join Lightner Museum educator Alison Schaeffler-Murphy for a presentation focused on the significance of Edgar Degas as an artist.
This special look at the artist’s life, body of work, and “who’s who” in his circle of friends will include a discussion of the commonality of trans-Atlantic crossings during the Gilded Age. Our Grand Tour concludes with a look at artwork he created during his visit to Louisiana in 1873. Tickets are $5 (free for museum members); reservations are required.
