Amiro (true to its name) is abundant with art for the February First Friday Art Walk. Toast our featured guest artists Heather Hall, and Lori Hammer with a complimentary glass of wine in the Original Art District. Massachusetts fiber artist Heather Hall brings her fabulous felted silk wearable art. Heather creates one-of-a-kind, hats, clothing, and accessories using the finest wool, silk and other natural fibers sourced locally from independent, small-scale merchants. Inspired by the idea that good design is essential to everyday living, Heather Hall gives a modern context to age-old textile and felting techniques. Jacksonville artist Lori Hammer brings a unique array of designer jewelry to add to her BoHo Boulevard Collection. Juxtaposing styles and textures, mixing the surreal and the whimsical, vintage and modern pieces all combine to create Lori's signature look. She searches for unusual materials to work with, including fish leather, old jewelry remnants, fabric, trim and even watch parts.
