The 30-voice St. Augustine Chamber Singers, directed by Kathleen Vande Berg, will present a concert, “Feel the Spirit”, on Friday, Oct. 4, at 7 pm in the St. Augustine Cathedral Basilica.
The 30-voice St. Augustine Chamber Singers will present their annual concert entitled "Feel the Spirit" on Friday, October 4, at 7 pm in the St. Augustine Cathedral Basilica. The Chamber Singers, directed by Kathleen Vande Berg and accompanied by Barbara Mattingly, will sing two major works by English composers: "Jazz Missa Brevis" by Will Todd and "Feel the Spirit" by John Rutter. A ten piece chamber orchestra will accompany "Feel the Spirit", a setting of seven familiar spirituals.

The 30-voice St. Augustine Chamber Singers will present their annual concert entitled “Feel the Spirit” on Friday, October 4, at 7 pm in the St. Augustine Cathedral Basilica. The Chamber Singers, directed by Kathleen Vande Berg and accompanied by Barbara Mattingly, will sing two major works by English composers: “Jazz Missa Brevis” by Will Todd and “Feel the Spirit” by John Rutter. A ten piece chamber orchestra will accompany “Feel the Spirit”, a setting of seven familiar spirituals.
The soloist for the concert is Lisa Lockhart, outstanding operatic soprano, who will sing solo works and also perform the solos in the Rutter composition. The concert is a non ticketed, free event but contributions to defray expenses will be gratefully received.
