“My husband married me to have a constant reminder of how loathsome women are.”
This is the opening line in this avante-garde play by Cuban American playwright, Maria Irene Fornes. Set on a New England estate in the spring of 1935, eight women come together, exploring their role in a society dominated by men.
Filled with laughter and poignant moments, they discover the bonds and divisions between them.
See the performance at Flagler College's Lewis Auditorium on October 22, 23, and 24.
