First Colony: Our Spanish Origins

First Colony: Our Spanish Origins is a hands-on exhibit illustrating life in St. Augustine beginning in 1565, almost 50 years before the colonization of Jamestown, Virginia. Spanish settlers and native Timucua peoples' lives, religious experiences, and daily tasks can be experienced by visitors through interactive displays, historic artifacts, and 3-D games. Visitors are also able to compare women, militia, and everyday settlers in the First Colony to those here in the modern day, revealing many similarities. Brought to you by the Florida
