Flash Fiction Workshop

Whether you call them short-short stories, microfiction or sudden fiction, today’s Flash Fiction has become a special genre for more and more writers. Award-winning author Darlyn Finch Kuhn will lead an exploration of the elements of extremely short story-telling at the meeting of the FWA Ponte Vedra Writers on Saturday, October 26 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.

Kuhn will examine classic flash fiction and the latest trendsetters, and participants will learn what flash fiction is and isn’t. They’ll also learn how to focus on what’s important and cut what’s not, and how to develop a beginning, middle, and end that leaves the reader satisfied.

Darlyn Finch Kuhn is an award-winning poet and novelist who directs the JaxbyJax Literary Arts Festival with her husband, the writer Brad Kuhn. She was a writer-in-residence at the Jack Kerouac House Project of Orlando, and teaches journalism at UNF.
