Floetry | Norma Sherry Feature with Open Mic - January

New to the series this year will be a featured poet that will share at 3 PM, followed by a brief book signing opportunity, then a community open mic.

If you would like to share a poem, please see the facilitator at 2:30 PM to get your name on the list on the day of the event. There is space on the list for 10 poets at 5 minutes each. At 3:30 PM, the readers will be called to the podium in the order their names appear on the sign-up sheet.

Share your polished poems or bust out fresh ink from your notebook during St. Augustine’s longest-running open mic poetry event. Invite a friend or two or three. Ancient City Poets has always been open to the public and there is no charge at the door to get your name on the list.

This January gathering is the first in series of eight events celebrating creative writing and reciting. The series is made possible by Ancient City Poets,  the City of St. Augustine, and St. Augustine PoetFest, and is coordinated by Chris Bodor, in recognition of his role as the Beat Poet Laurette for the State of Florida.

HELP SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE ANCIENT CITY POETS
Ancient City Poets is the local chapter of the Florida State Poets Association (FSPA). These gatherings qualify as the monthly chapter meeting. The monthly readings are open to all. You do not have to be a member to share at the podium. Ancient City Poets is a community of poets and poetry lovers who have gathered in the Nation’s Oldest City, on the last Sunday of the month, since August 2009.
